Apple TV has shared a first look at its upcoming adaptation of the psychological thriller Imperfect Women, which the streamer also revealed Thursday is set for a spring premiere.
The photo, which is embedded above, shows the three leading ladies Kerry Washington, Elisabeth Moss and Kate Mara clinking glasses with cheerful looks on their faces. However, based on the synopsis, those smiles are sure to fade over the course of this eight-episode limited series.
Imperfect Women, created for television by Annie Weisman and based on Araminta Hall’s novel of the same name, examines a crime that shatters the lives of a decades-long friendship of three women.
The unconventional thriller explores guilt and retribution, love and betrayal, and the compromises we make that alter our lives irrevocably. As the investigation unravels, so does the truth about how even the closest friendships may not be what they seem.
