ATX TV Festival Unveils First Season 15 Programming, Including ‘Homicide: Life On The Street’ Retrospective & ‘Sweet/Vicious’ 10-Year Reunion

EXCLUSIVE: ATX TV Festival has begun rolling out its Season 15 programming ahead of next year’s event in Austin, Texas.

Deadline has the exclusive on a few of the panels to expect at the weekend-long festival for television lovers, which include a retrospective on Homicide: Life on the Street and a Sweet/Vicious cast reunion.

Tom Fontana, David Simon, and Kyle Secor are expected to be in attendance for a screening of the sixth episode of Homicide: Life on the Street, “Three Men and Adena,” followed by a conversation with the trio. The episode follows Detectives Tim Bayliss (Secor) and Frank Pembleton (Andre Braugher) as they have 12 hours to elicit a confession from the suspected murdered of 11-year-old Adena Watson.

Based on Simon’s book “Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets,” Homicide chronicled the work of a fictional version of the Baltimore Police Department’s Homicide Unit, and garnered 17 Emmy-nominations and 4 wins throughout its six-year run.

As for Sweet/Vicious, cast and creatives are getting the band back together in Austin for a wide-ranging conversation about the MTV series that saw college students Jules (Eliza Bennet) and Ophelia (Taylor Dearden) as they seek revenge on sexual assaulters and rapists on campus. Both stars will be there, along with creator/executive producer Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, showrunner/executive producer Amanda Lasher, executive producer Stacey Sher, and producer Emily Levitan.

Also on the schedule for next year:

A Late Night Show with Greg Iwinski – The late night show hosted by Emmy-winning writer Greg Iwinski (Last Week Tonight, The Late Show), will return for a second, completely original “episode” performed live in front of the ATX audience. Returning along with Iwinski will be announcer/sidekick Jim Fagan (The Tonight Show)  and Matt and the Late Night Invisible Orchestra.

Inside Job: TV’s Non-Writing Producers – An inside look at the role of the non-writing producer, from guiding a series all the way from development to final cut to balancing the creative and business sides of the TV-making process to developing their own creative voice, and more. Confirmed panelists include Melissa Bernstein (House of the Dragon), Stacey Sher (Mrs. America), Sarah Timberman (Fleishman is in Trouble), Kathleen McCaffrey (Industry), and Karen Wacker (Lanterns). 

ATX TV Festival Season 15 will take place in Austin, Texas, from May 28 to 31, 2026. More programming is expected to be announced over the next several months leading to the event.
