Frank Cozzolino, the electrician featured on HGTV‘s Holmes on Homes, died at the age of 56, his daughter Filomena confirmed.
In a post on social media, Filomena shared that her father died on December 4 and posted a touching tribute honoring his memory.
“My dad is loved by many. A man full of passion, empathy, brutal honesty, and integrity; he fought through the struggles of organ disease and was granted a second chance at life in 2017 through the gift of organ donation,” Filomena wrote on Instagram.
Filomena detailed that her father had received a second liver transplant in July of this year after his medical team found his liver disease had returned, which ultimately led to his death.
“There were many post-operation complications, and he conquered each new battle, until he was diagnosed with lymphoma,” Filomena said. “Ever the fighter, he never gave up. He deliberated and decided that he would push through; he’d beaten the odds up to this point, he thought ‘the world isn’t getting rid of me this easily.’”

Filomena continued, “Although he lost his battle in the late evening of December 4, 2025, my dad pushed the boundaries of what many of his medical team, friends, and family thought possible.”
Cozzolino was featured across multiple episodes of Holmes Family Rescue Season 1 in 2022. In the series, Cozzolino opened up about health issues relating to his liver and undergoing a liver transplant. At the time, he had made changes to his life and bought a home that needed renovations. Cozzolino’s daughters, Alexandria and Filomena, called on Holmes to help with the home renovations as their father was still recovering from the surgery.
“About 10 years ago, I was diagnosed with a very rare liver disease,” Cozzolino said in the 2022 episode. “I was basically told I had five years left on this liver. You need a liver or you’re going to die. It was like a truck had hit me.”
Cozzolino added that he made an “exit plan,” downsizing his company and his home. He would find out he got a matching donor and eventually got a transplant, saying, “Here I am in ICU and accepting that reality that I lived.”
Cozzolino would have a successful liver transplant, and in 2025, he was told by his doctor that the liver disease had returned.
Filomena ended her touching tribute with the following: “Daddy, you put up one hell of a fight. You are the strongest person I know, and I am grateful for the years we got to spend together on Earth. Now your battle is over and you can rest. We’ll all see you again.”
