Who is in the cast of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2?
Walker Scobell plays the titular demigod and son of Poseidon, also affectionately known as Seaweed Brain. Aryan Simhadri plays Grover Underwood, satyr and searcher for the great god Pan. Leah Sava Jeffries portrays Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena the goddess of wisdom. Dior Goodjohn plays Clarisse, daughter of the god of war Ares. She and Percy are enemies of sorts. Charlie Busnell plays Luke Castellan, son of Hermes.
Jason Mantzoukas portrays Dionysus, god of wine and Director of Camp Halfblood, where the demigods shelter and learn to fight. Timothy Simons will join Season 2 as Tantalus, Head of Activities at Camp Halfblood, which was Chiron’s (Glynn Turman) job. Virginia Kull plays Percy’s mother Sally Jackson, and Daniel Diemer also joins Season 2 as Tyson, a cyclops who has a knack for tinkering. Tyson is Percy’s half brother.
What is Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 about?
Based on Rick Riordan’s second novel in his series, The Sea of Monsters, Percy, Annabeth unlikely teammate Clarisse as well as Tyson the Cyclops find themselves in dire need of a quest to save Camp Halfblood from sinister forces at work. When Thalia’s pine tree gets poisoned and the barrier to camp becomes breachable, Clarisse, and eventually Percy and Annabeth, go in search of the Golden Fleece to heal the tree and also rescue Grover, where he has been lured by Polyphemus the Cyclops. To find the Fleece and save Grover, Percy and team must traverse the Sea of Monsters, known as the Bermuda Triangle to mortals, and the watery gauntlet that awaits them there.
