‘IT: Welcome To Derry’ & ‘The Chair Company’ Continue Tracking Among HBO Max’s Top Freshman Seasons; ‘I Love LA’ Audience Grows 12% With Episode 2

HBO seems to be on a roll with its current Sunday night slate. Particularly, IT: Welcome to Derry and Tim Robinson’s The Chair Company are tracking among the top freshman seasons ever on HBO Max.

The third episode of Welcome to Derry, the IT prequel series from Andy Muschietti, delivered nearly 5M U.S. viewers in its first three days of availability across HBO and HBO Max, per Warner Bros. Discovery.

That is slightly down from the premiere, which managed 5.7M U.S. cross-platform viewers in the same time frame. However, the season as a whole is currently averaging 9.2M U.S. viewers per episode and nearly 15M viewers globally. That places it among the top three freshman seasons in platform history, the company says.

Meanwhile, The Chair Company brought in a steady 1.3M cross-platform U.S. viewers for its fifth episode, which is on par with the rest of the season thus far.
