American Cinema Editors Reveals Results Of Board of Directors Election

American Cinema Editors has spliced together the results of its 2025 Board of Directors election, and some history was made.

Maysie Hoy has been elected Vice President for a two-year term. Joining with current President Sabrina Plisco and Secretary Lillian Benson, it marks the first time in the honorary society’s 75-year history that three women will have executive board seats simultaneously.

Elsewhere, Treasurer Michael Ornstein was re-elected to serve an additional two-year term, and Kevin Tent has been appointed to a new Ex Officio position to provide the executive board with the expertise and experience of a prior officer to advise and support newly elected board officers, the group said.

ACE’s other newly elected board members are Kate Amend, Stephanie Filo, Kate Sanford, Terilyn A. Shropshire and Scott Vickrey. The new associate board members are Anita Brandt-Burgoyne, Jacques Gravett, Susan Vaill and John Venzon.
