EXCLUSIVE: 9-1-1: Nashville is looking to be an effective addition to Ryan Murphy’s popular procedural franchise.
The latest offering premiered October 9, raking in 12.4M total viewers after seven days across ABC, Hulu, Disney+ and digital platforms, which is a 231% lift over the same-day audience of 3.75M, per a combination of Nielsen data and internal streaming insights from Disney.
That includes encores. Without, the first-responder drama delivered 7.8M viewers in that time frame, which is still a nice 108% increase over same-day viewing. Excluding encores, the episode posted a 1.51 rating among adults 18-49 in the seven-day window as well, Deadline understands.
On streaming alone, 9-1-1: Nashville is now ABC’s second-highest drama premiere on streaming after seven days, behind only High Potential, per Disney.

9-1-1: Nashville is shaping up to be a positive addition to ABC’s Thursday night lineup, which also includes Season 9 of the flagship 9-1-1 series as well as Season 22 of Grey’s Anatomy.
In its Season 9 premiere, 9-1-1 earned 8.3M cross-platform viewers after seven days, growing 6% over the show’s Season 8 spring finale. It certainly brought some energy to the show’s overall performance, putting up the best numbers since the emotional funeral episode on May 1, a few weeks before the Season 8 conclusion.
On linear alone, 9-1-1 managed about 5.97M total viewers in that seven-day window, indicating just under 3M tuned in via streaming.
Grey’s Anatomy closed out the Thursday primetime window with its Season 22 return, putting up 6.61M cross-platform viewers in seven days. That’s up 14% from the Season 21 average audience and, in fact, is the best telecast the series has seen since the Season 20 finale in May 2024.
Disney also says that the Season 22 premiere of Grey’s Anatomy led the series to post a nearly three-year streaming high on Hulu and Disney+ after one week of viewing (since the show’s Season 19 midseason premiere in February 2023).
All three series return Thursday, October 23, and new episodes stream next-day.
