EXCLUSIVE: Sonja Warfield, one of the executive producers of HBO’s The Gilded Age, has new management.
Warfield, who serves as co-showrunner of the HBO period drama, has signed with Anonymous Content.
It comes as Amazon just picked up her adaptation of The Davenports for development. Warfield has teamed up with And Just Like That… executive producer Susan Fales-Hill to write and exec produce the adaptation, which is based on Krystal Marquis’ novel of the same name, a Bridgerton-esque romantic series, set in 1910 America. It comes from Amazon MGM Studios, Warner Bros. Television and Alloy Entertainment.
Warfield has previously written on series including NBC sitcom Will & Grace, BET’s The Game, Disney Channel’s Liv and Maddie, BET’s Zoe Ever After, which starred Brandy), DreamWorks and Netflix’s animated series She-Ra, for which she also wrote an original song, and ABC’s Jake in Progress.

In addition to her television and film work, Warfield is the author of Get Your Butt Off My Couch (And Your Hand Outta My Wallet). She is also a stand-up comedian, having appeared at The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, and The Ice House.
It is Anonymous Content’s latest signing, having recently inked Messy’s Alexi Wasser, Mr Inbetween director Nash Edgerton, Charlie Harper director Mac Eldridge and Liza Koshy over the last few months.
