Jay Jurden Unveils Debut Special ‘Yes Ma’am’ Set For Hulu Premiere

EXCLUSIVE: Comedian Jay Jurden‘s debut special, Yes Ma’am, is set to stream exclusively on Hulu beginning November 7.

The special is described as a fast-paced, punchline-filled love letter to what it means to be Black, Southern and queer. Jurden wrote and performed it and executive produced alongside Brian Volk-Weiss and Cisco Henson. Volk-Weiss also directed the hour.

Of the project, Jurden shared, “I’m so excited to have my debut special on a platform like Hulu. They’re putting out some amazing comedy, and I feel like my special is no exception. A huge thank you to the incredible team at Comedy Dynamics for producing this project! I’m giving you ten pounds of laughs in a five-pound bag. This hour is a love letter to comedy, the South, queerness, Blackness and my mom — I can’t wait for y’all to enjoy it!”

Volk-Weiss, Comedy Dynamics’ CEO, added, “Jay is a rare talent whose voice is as sharp as it is fearless. He brings a lot of great energy into his debut comedy special, and we’re excited to collaborate with Hulu to release it!”
