We’re getting the first look at Season 2 of YA animated series Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake. HBO Max and Cartoon Network Studios released the official trailer for the upcoming season Sunday at New York Comic Con.
Based on the characters from Adventure Time, the series is set in the land of Ooo and follows the alternate universe versions of Finn and Jake on a multiverse-hopping journey towards self-discovery. The 10-episode second season premieres Thursday, Oct. 23, on HBO Max, followed by one new episode weekly through December 25.
In Season 1, when Fionna (voiced by Madeleine Martin) and her sidekick Cake (Roz Ryan) find themselves in the crosshairs of a powerful new foe, they have no choice but to seek the help of former Ice King Simon Petrikov. The show features appearances from Marshall Lee, Marceline the Vampire Queen, Princess Bubblegum and Finn the Human.

In Season 2, after their journey through the multiverse, Fionna and Cake tackle new adventures while Huntress Wizard embarks on a desperate quest with fatal consequences.
The voice cast also includes Ashly Burch, with recurring guest cast Anna Akana, Dee Bradley Baker, Maria Bamford, Matthew Broderick, Kris Collins, Frank Collison, Andy Daly, Grey DeLisle, Harvey Guillén, Patti Harrison, Manny Jacinto, Tom Kenny, Marc Maron, Jinkx Monsoon, Kumail Nanjiani, Olivia Olson, Vico Ortiz, Chelsea Peretti, Jeremy Shada, Hynden Walch, Pendleton Ward and others.
