X-Men ’97’s long-in-the-works third season has been officially greenlighted. The announcement was made during Marvel Television and Marvel Animation’s panel at New York Comic Con.
Brad Winderbaum, Head of Marvel Television and Marvel Animation, also revealed the addition of Eric and Julia Lewald, the writers who originally created X-Men: The Animated Series, along with original series’ director Larry Houston, to X-Men ‘97 Season 2 as executive producers. The long awaited second season of the Emmy-nominated animated series will debut on Disney + in Summer 2026, more than two years after Season 1.
