The Walking Dead Universe Auction: Daryl Dixon’s Crossbow, Negan’s ‘Lucille,’ and Rick Grimes’ Sheriff Hat Among 1,000+ Iconic Props Up For Sale

For eleven seasons, The Walking Dead redefined television, plunging audiences into a brutal, emotional, and unforgettable post-apocalyptic world where the constant threat of “walkers” was often outmatched only by the dangers posed by the living. Now, fans have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to claim a piece of that iconic series and its vast universe.

The sale features a staggering collection of more than 1,000 lots encompassing the full scope of the franchise’s storytelling and production. You’ll find iconic items from all 11 seasons of the groundbreaking The Walking Dead series, as well as its spinoffs, including Fear the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: Dead City, and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, among others.

This massive collection includes a range of iconic on-screen props, hero costumes, vehicles, weapons, set pieces, and prosthetics that defined the post-apocalyptic world fans came to know and love.

Headed to auction are several standout iconic pieces from The Walking Dead series, including Daryl Dixon’s monumental hero crossbow (Seasons 1-3) and his Custom Triumph Bonneville chopper (Seasons 1-4), Negan’s “Lucille” baseball bat (Seasons 6-10), Rick Grimes’ Sheriff Hat and hero .357 Magnum (Season 1), and Michonne’s signature ensemble Sheath and action katana (Season 3).

“This auction is a celebration of The Walking Dead Universe’s incredible legacy and devoted global fanbase,” says Rob Fox, Executive Vice President of Production for AMC Networks and AMC Studios. “Partnering with Heritage Auctions allows us to share the artistry and storytelling of this Universe with collectors, giving them a chance to own a tangible piece of the original series and its popular spin-off series that continue to grow this franchise and captivate millions.”

“This is one of the most thrilling auctions in Heritage’s history,” says Joe Maddalena, Executive Vice President at Heritage Auctions. “These aren’t just props and costumes. They’re touchstones of a show that redefined modern television — and now, they’re up for grabs.”

Each item is a portal into the show’s history — a chronicle of its survivalist spirit and emotional stakes. The collection includes signature props, weapons and garments that came to symbolize key character arcs from Dale’s iconic Winnebago from the original series and Al’s CAT-2 MRAP from Fear the Walking Dead to the Governor’s chilling Season 4.

Other pieces include several of the blood-splattered jackets, hand-welded dentures, prosthetic masks and more that brought the franchise’s iconic Walkers to life, including the infamous “Bicycle Girl” from The Walking Dead’s pilot episode.

Said Greg Nicotero, who served as executive producer, director and the mastermind behind The Walking Dead’s award-winning special effects: “As a collector myself, I am delighted that fans and collectors get the opportunity to own a piece of Walking Dead history. Our show really did change the way people watched genre television and brought zombies into their living rooms every Sunday night….you can’t beat that! We always tried to keep the zombies scary and interesting with a sense of dread and foreboding. We worked out a formula that preserved horror and realism, but still let the actors give a performance.”

The Walking Dead Universe Auction will be held October 6–November 1, 2025, exclusively at Heritage Auctions. Bidding is now open at HA.com.
