EXCLUSIVE: With Tuesday marking two years since the coordinated Hamas attacks on Israel, which killed 1,200 people and took more than 250 hostages, Fox Entertainment has shared a first look at its anthology dramatization One Day in October.
Marking the anniversary with an Oct. 7 premiere on HBO Max, Deadline’s exclusive trailer of the seven-part event series features a first look at its real-time scripted portrayal of personal stories from the attacks on Israel, all filmed on location.

The series is described as “seven emotionally gripping and artistically interwoven narratives of love, courage, sacrifice and survival. From families torn apart to moments of hope emerging in the face of unspeakable tragedy to incredible bravery against the odds, each episode reveals the human cost and resilience born out of chaos.”
Created by Oded Davidoff and Daniel Finkelman, One Day in October stars Swell Ariel Or, Noa Kedar, Naomi Levov, Hisham Suliman, Wael Hamdoun, Yuval Semo, Avi Azulay, Naveh Tzur, Yael Abecassis, Moran Rosenblatt, Michael Aloni, Neta Roth, Sean Softi, Lior Ashkenazi and Uri Perelman.
Davidoff also writes and directs, with writing by Liron Ben-Shlush, Amir Hasfari & Keren Weissman, Orit Dabush and Yona Rozenkier. Producers include Finkelman, Chaya Amor, Aviv Ben-Shlush, Lee Ben-Shlush Kuperman and FOX Entertainment Studios’ Fernando Szew. Jim Berk and Sheldon Rabinowitz with Moriah Media are executive producers. Co-producers are FOX Entertainment Studios with yes TV, New York-based production company Sparks Go and Israel’s ZOA Films.
The trailer comes amid negotiations over Donald Trump‘s Gaza peace plan, during which Hamas announced it is prepared to release all hostages, but has not accepted the proposal without conditions.
