EXCLUSIVE: Indie distributor Limonero Films has inked a distribution deal with Into the Wild and will rep the Spanish wildlife producer’s shows internationally. It adds a raft of classic wildlife fare to Limonero’s line-up ahead of the end-of-year TV markets. Limonero Films´ founder and CEO, Pamela Martínez Martínez, said: “We have had great success with natural history programming, and we are looking forward to bringing Into the Wild’s blue-chip titles to market, beginning with MIA Market in Rome in a couple of weeks, and followed by MEDIMED and MIPCOM.” Titles that Limonero will bring to market include Life Of A Predator, A Year Of Wild Love and United Animals, all of which has already been licensed by Spanish public broadcaster RTVE. Speaking about the deal with Limonero, Vince Turmo, Director at Into the Wild, said.“We admire their commitment to distributing nature and wildlife documentaries in such a complex market for Spanish production companies.”
Paramount+ Renews ‘The Crow Girl’
Paramount+ UK and Ireland has renewed The Crow Girl for a second season. The Buccaneer Media-produced show follows British police officer Jeanette Kilburn (Eve Myles). Season 2 will pick up the morning after the ending of Season 1, with Jeanette hunting for the killers of young asylum seekers as the discovery in a church wall and a body in a freezer reveal a chilling connection. Digging deeper, she begins to suspect Victoria Burkeman, a mysterious former patient of enigmatic psychologist Dr. Sophia Craven (Katherine Kelly). Also reprising their roles alongside Myles (Hijack) and Kelly (Mr Bates vs the Post Office) are Clara Rugaard (Black Mirror) and Victoria Hamilton (The Crown), with new cast announced at a later date. Executive Producers include Buccaneer’s Tony Wood, screenwriter Milly Thomas, Slash, Myles, Federico Ambrosini, Niclas Salomonsson and Erik Axl Sund. Charles Martin is confirmed to direct, and Debs Pisani will produce. The show will be produced in association with ITV Studios, which also distributes.

Murdoch Papers Drama ‘The Hack’
ITV and Stan’s much-anticipated event drama series The Hack has landed its first round of sales. ITV Studios has shopped the David Tennant- and Robert Carlyle-starring drama to Arte in French- and German-speaking countries, YLE in Finland, SVT in Sweden, NRK in Norway, DR in Denmark, Cosmote TV in Greece and TVNZ in New Zealand. Lionsgate Play and BBC Studios have secured pan-regional deals across South Asia and the CEE region, respectively. Set between 2008 and 2012, it follows the true-life investigative work of journalist Nick Davies (Tennant), who uncovered evidence of phone hacking at the Rupert Murdoch-owned British tabloid News of the World, interweaved with the story of the police investigation into the unsolved murder of private investigator Daniel Morgan, led by Detective Chief Superintendent Dave Cook (Carlyle). Toby Jones plays the former editor-in-chief of The Guardian, Alan Rusbridger. Cast also includes, among others, Dougray Scott, Adria Lester and Steve Pemberton, as Murdoch. ITV Studios, AC Chapter One and One Shoe Films made the show in co-production with Australia streamer Stan.
