The Partnership Group Buys Benelux’s Henneman Agency

EXCLUSIVE: The Partnership Group (TPG), a collection of agencies that reps the likes of Emily Blunt, Idris Elba and Olivia Cooke, has made its first international investment four years after launch.

Roger Charteris and Robert Taylor’s outfit has taken a majority stake in Henneman Agency, which calls itself the “largest agency in the Benelux.” Henneman clients include Golden Calf winner Barry Atsma, Wolf Hall star Ellie De Lange and Amsterdam Vice director Arne Toonen, along with tonnes of other Dutch and Belgian actors, directors, writers and social talent.

Along with the investment, the partnership will focus on the development of joint projects, knowledge sharing and strengthening talent. TPG launched in 2021 and consists of the likes of The Artists Partnership, Sayle Screen and Sara Putt Associates, the latter two of which it just took majority stakes in. TPG also holds a 5.5% stake in King & Conqueror indie Rabbit Track Pictures, the production company run by Happy Valley star James Norton and Kitty Kaletsky, while other interests include Unlocked Podcasts and Own It!, an agency and an independent publisher.

Vanessa Henneman launched her agency two decades ago and it brands itself the “largest agency in the Benelux” based on staff numbers, client footprint and its position in the market.

Henneman said the relationship with TPG “dates back several years.” “We’ve found that we share the same DNA and that our values, ways of working, and ambitions align seamlessly, making this strategic collaboration the next logical step in further strengthening the ties between the agencies,” she added. “What attracts me most about this partnership with TPG is the philosophy that each company maintains its own identity, autonomy, and independence, allowing us to continue providing our personal service in an increasingly global market, without changing the culture of our agency.”

Charteris and Taylor said: “Working together with Henneman Agency is a key strategic move for The Partnership Group and will open new doors and create exciting new opportunities for our clients. Our aim as a group is to support a wide range of voices and stories. We want to ensure that our industry remains dynamic and inclusive. We have always actively built ties across Europe and as soon as we met Vanessa we knew what a valued member of our group she could be.”
