As Carriage Fight With Fox Continues, YouTube TV Adds OAN To Its Lineup

As it negotiates with Fox to avoid a blackout of Fox News, YouTube TV has added conservative network One America News and sister network A Wealth of Entertainment to its channel lineup.

The two properties, owned by Herring Networks Inc., will enter the YouTube TV base package in the fourth quarter.

OAN is currently airing 16 hours of news a day, while AWE offers a blend of travel, adventure, lifestyle and family fare.

Former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz is perhaps OAN’s most recognizable on-air personality, signing on last year to host a nightly program. He also hosts what the network describes as a “weekly late-night podcast style program” for OAN.

OAN and AWE distribution chief Richard Levine said the agreement “makes it easier than ever for viewers nationwide to connect with our networks.”

Justin Connolly, VP and Global Head of Media at YouTube, said the pay-TV provider’s goal “has always been to provide our subscribers with a wide range of content, which is why we’re excited to bring One America News to YouTube TV. This partnership gives One America News access to our growing audience, while also giving our subscribers even more choice when it comes to news and entertainment.”

The Fox-YouTube friction immediately caught the attention of FCC chair Brendan Carr, who urged Google (not both sides) to “get a deal done” in a Tuesday post on X. The FCC has no jurisdiction when it comes to pay-TV disputes. Late Wednesday, the companies agreed to a short-term extension of the 5 p.m. Wednesday contract deadline in order to continue talks.

OAN launched in 2013, while AWE went live in 2004 as an early all-HD channel.
