In addition to Spiridakos, Ronnie Rowe Jr is also part of the series regular cast. Coates joins the recurring cast, which also includes the previously announced Jordan Sledz, Crystle Lightning, and Nikki Hallow.

This is the second new scripted series from USA Network, following The Rainmaker, starring John Slattery, which is currently airing its first season. The Rainmaker marked the network’s first new scripted series in a while as part of a planned relaunch as a destination for scripted originals.

Morwyn Brebner serves as showrunner and executive producer, alongside director Lea Thompson, Todd Berger, Brett Burlock, Sonia Hosko, Julie Di Cresce, Peter Emerson, Gordon Gilbertson, Tom Cox, and Jordy Randall. Leslie Cowan is producing. Produced by Cineflix Studios, December Films and Seven24 Films. Cineflix Rights is the exclusive worldwide distribution partner. In Canada, Anna Pigeon is Bell Media’s first co-commission with Versant’s USA Network.

Coates is perhaps best known for playing the lovable bad boy Tig on FX’s hit series Sons of Anarchy. He most recently appeared as a regular in Season 2 of Walking Dead: Dead City as the gang leader Brugel. Earlier this year, he starred in the Netflix limited series American Primeval as Brigham Young, opposite Taylor Kitsch. He also appeared in the HBO limited series The White House Plumbers with Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux. He reprised his role as series lead, Declan Gardner, in Season 2 of the Netflix mob series Bad Blood.

On the film side, Coates will next star opposite Kevin James in the romantic comedy Solo Mio. He was recently seen in the feature film The Getback, starring alongside fellow SOA alum Theo Rossi and Dermot Mulroney, as well as in Double Down South, written and directed by Tom Schulman. He is repped by Mainstay Entertainment, Paradigm, and Oscar Abrams Zimel + Associates Inc.
