Embankment Films is building out its unscripted unit ahead of the Sheffield DocFest.
The London-based producer has hired veteran unscripted producer Zoer Sandhu as Head of Production, and promoted Nick Taussig to Head of Unscripted and Henry Farrington to Associate Producer.
Sandhu is known for working on shows such as The Apprentice and Our Planet Earth, while Taussig (McQueen, Churchill) and Farrington (Dwarf Story, Call Me Kate) have been with Embankment’s unscripted division since 2013.
Sales and production house Embankment is currently working on Epic: The Life & Times of David Lean for Sky Arts, an under-wraps profile of a postwar British personality for the same network, and Wasp Woman: Murder of a B-Movie Star for Sundance now, which Sphere Abacus is selling as a feature doc and limited series. Previous series include Dwarf Story: Life Without People for ITV and Strike: An Uncivil War, which was acquired by Netflix for the UK. Both are distributed internationally by Rainmaker.

On the features front, the company has Sunny Dancer, starring Bella Ramsey, and an adaptation of the multi award-winning West End and Broadway hit Prima Facie on its slate.
The unscripted appointments come ahead of Sheffield DocFest, which is being held between June 18-23 in the UK.
