The trophy became a topic of conversation when Gauff took to social media to compare the different sizes of the replica and the real one.

In an interview with Today, she said, “Most tournaments will have the original that they keep with them, and then they give you home a replica. And I didn’t know it was going to be as small as it is.”

Gauff said that the trophy she has is a replica of the trophy they get to actually take home, adding, “It is adorable. It’s mini-size, like the little mini-brands, so that’s what this is. It looks just like the real one, just smaller.”

Gauff defeated Aryna Sabalenka at the French Open, becoming the first American to win the title since Serena Williams in 2015. The match also marked the first No. 1 vs. No. 2 match at the French Open since Williams defeated Maria Sharapova in 2013.
