Jane Seymour-Starring ‘Harry Wild’ Renewed For Season 5 At Acorn TV

Acorn TV has renewed its Irish mystery series Harry Wild for a fifth season, star and executive producer Jane Seymour has confirmed.

Seymour, who broke the news Saturday while speaking on a panel at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, will return to star as the titular amateur detective Harry Wild. Production on the new season is set to return to Dublin later this year, and six episodes are planned.

The series’ current Season 4 ranks among the top 10 most watches seasons of all time on AMC Networks’ British and international centered streaming service, Acorn TV says, citing double-digit gains in viewership over Season 3. Season 4 wraps its run Monday, and a special is planned to air in December.

The upcoming Season 5 of Harry Wild is created and written by David Logan, along with writer Jo Spain, with executive producers including Logan, Spain, Seymour, Daniel March, Klaus Zimmermann, James Gibb, David McLoughlin, Catherine Mackin and Bea Tammer. It is produced by Dynamic Television, and Acorn Media Enterprises co-produces with ZDF.
