‘White Lotus’ Season 3 Mystery Solved By Mike White’s Pal Sarah Silverman

After Season 3 of The White Lotus concluded on a tragic note, fans of the HBO series were left in the dark about one plot point.

Sarah Silverman, who starred with series creator Mike White in 2003’s School of Rock, went directly to the source to find out why Parker Posey‘s Victoria Ratliff gave Leslie Bibb‘s Kate Bohr the cold shoulder in Episode 2, ‘Special Treatments’.

“I loathe doing that because I feel like everyone must be asking him, but I did,” she said on Live with Kelly and Mark. “I did text him out of this one, I emailed him and I said, ‘What’s up with Leslie Bibb — how come we didn’t find out why Parker Posey iced Leslie Bibb?’”

Silverman continued, “‘Why did she pretend not to know her? Is it something you didn’t get to that got cut out, or like, what’s the answer?’ And he goes, ‘No, I was just showing that she’s a bitch.’”

Fan theories abounded after the well-to-do Texan, Kate, recognized the ridiculously wealthy North Carolinian, Victoria, after meeting at a party years before, only for the former to publicly treat the latter like a stranger in a chilly exchange. Following last month’s season finale, viewers were left without any resolution to that dynamic.

Although Silverman presumed that White is “probably not” going to ask her to join a future season of the ensemble-driven anthology series, she feels she has something to contribute. “I love it. I would be amazing, I would be,” she said.
