Netflix Unveils K-Drama ‘Notes From The Last Row’ Starring Choi Min-sik, Choi Hyun-wook & Huh Joon-ho

Netflix has unveiled the new Korean series Notes from the Last Row, starring Choi Min-sik, Choi Hyun-wook, Huh Joon-ho, Kim Yun-jin and Jin Kyung.

Based on the Spanish play “El Chico de la última fila,” the new drama follows Heo Mun-oh, a grumpy literature professor and failed writer. He becomes enamored by the talent of Lee Kang, a mysterious student who always sits in the back row of his class.

Things begin to unfold when Mun-oh, burdened by insecurity and unfulfilled dreams, begins special literature classes with Lee Kang, whose brilliance reignites Mun-oh’s passion for writing.

Choi Min-sik, who has starred in Exhuma and Big Bet, plays Heo Mun-oh. Choi Hyun-wook, of Weak Hero Class 1 and Twenty-Five Twenty-One fame, plays Lee Kang, an engineering student with a hidden literary gift.

Huh Joon-ho (Buried Hearts) plays the role of Kim Su-hun, Mun-oh’s successful writer friend.

Kim Yun-jin (Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area) portrays Su-hun’s wife, Ahn Eun-joo, while Jin Kyung (Veteran) plays Jo Hyeon-suk, Mun-oh’s psychologist wife.

The series will be directed by Kim Gyu-tae (Our Blues), with the screenplay penned by Jang Myung-woo (My Mother, the Mermaid).

Notes from the Last Row will be produced by Kakao Entertainment and Gtist.
