EXCLUSIVE: Channel 4 documentary Diddy: In Plain Sight has landed a home in the U.S. as Sean Combs’ trial continues stateside.
Digital content biz Little Dot Studios has acquired exclusive rights to the doc from All3Media stablemate All3Media International. The plan is to launch it on Little Dot’s Real Stories YouTube channel in the U.S., which has more than 6.5 million subscribers.
The Gussy Sakula-Barry-directed doc explores the rise, success and dark secrets of ‘Diddy’, whose trial on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution has been the subject of much press coverage this week. Diddy denies the charges.
Besides building a picture of the music mogul, Lion TV‘s doc looks to “bring to light the complicity of so many people around him,” looking at music industry figures who celebrated his success, the political elites who wanted to be seen with him or the billion-dollar brands who craved his endorsements.

“Diddy: In Plain Sight is a compelling and timely film that deserves widespread exposure,” said Connie Hodson, Director of Content Acquisitions & Partnerships at Little Dot Studios. “Following our recent successful U.S. premiere of Leaving Neverland 2: Surviving Michael Jackson from Amos Pictures, which utilised this very same digital release strategy, we’ve seen firsthand how effectively our established YouTube channels can connect vital documentaries with an engaged and diverse audience actively seeking out impactful storytelling.
“This approach showcases how digital platforms can significantly expand the reach and influence of premium documentary filmmaking, making this story accessible to audiences on their own terms. Little Dot Studios, with its proven expertise in digital distribution and commitment to powerful narratives, is uniquely positioned to maximise the film’s impact and foster meaningful discussion at scale.”
Jennifer Askin, SVP, North America at All3Media International said Little Dot’s “YouTube expertize in the USA offers us an excellent route to reach those seeking to know why the allegations against Sean Combs were hidden for so long – and the complicity around the silence.”
Little Dot claims its Digital Media Network catalog is now the third-largest in the UK. It has more than 135 actively managed channels and six FAST channels.
