Netflix will continue to test relationships as the streamer has renewed Temptation Island for a second season.
Mark L. Walberg is set to return as host of the reality TV series where couples face temptation as they part ways to live with a group of singles of the opposite sex.
The second season of the dating series will feature a new group of couples attempting to discover if their love can withstand temptation.
In its first season on Netflix, Temptation Island welcomed four couples who took on the challenge to test their relationships. By the end of the season, two of the original couples left the island together, and the two others went their separate ways. However, after all was said and done, only Alex and Lino managed to cope through the ramifications of the experiment, continuing their relationship and are now engaged.
Temptation Island is a dating series that originally premiered on Fox in 2001, where it ran for three seasons. In 2019, USA Network revived the format, producing five seasons and ending its run in 2023. Netflix picked up the rights to the show, streaming its first season earlier this year.

The format recently made international headlines when a clip from the Spanish adaptation of the series, titled La Isla de las Tentaciones, by Telecinco, became a viral sensation. The “Montoya, Por Favor” memes were abundant on social media, demonstrating that the Banijay format remained as fresh as ever.
Netflix has begun casting for couples and singles interested in participating in the new season of Temptation Island.
