EXCLUSIVE: Canada’s Serial Maven Studios has hired former Keshet International exec Fleur Wheatley for a new UK-based role.
Wheatley has been named Principal Sales Executive, UK, Nordics and Benelux at Serial Maven, effective immediately. This reunites her with Serial Maven bosses Solange Attwood and Asha Daniere, as the trio are all former blue Ant International sales execs.
At Keshet, Wheatley was the London-based Vice President of Sales for the U.S, Canada, UK, Nordics, FAST, AVOD and Digital, and before that she spent over four years as an international sales director at Blue Ant.
Attwood said Wheatley’s experience “spans all genres,” and added, “We are thrilled to welcome Fleur Wheatley to the Serial Maven Studios team and establish our presence in the UK. Fleur’s experience, editorial and commercial saavy will help us continue to expand.”

As we told you first in January, former Blue Ant Media execs Attwood and Daniere launched Serial Maven as an “internationally-focused, next generation studio business” out of Canada.
They planned to build the business through owning unscripted content, with Attwood CEO and Daniere President. Serial Maven has since hired another ex-Blue Ant exec, Julie Chang, as COO.
The company launched its distribution division before MIPCOM with a slate including nature doc Tiger 24 from W Films, Secrets of Egypt’s Valley of the Whales from Argonon’s Windfall Films and Rezolution Pictures in association with Handle Productions, Search and Rescue: North Shore from Peg Leg Films, Cosmic Mysteries from Deep Field Productions and Gareth Malone’s Easter Passion from Somersault Studios.
